The Oregon girls swimming team was defeated by Baraboo 113-56 in a Badger West Conference dual meet on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Baraboo High School.
Oregon followed up the loss with a seventh-place finish at the Middleton Relays on Saturday, Oct. 2, at Beloit Memorial High School.

The Panthers were led by freshman Katherine Dunn, who earned Oregon’s only first-place finish. Dunn clocked in with the top time in the 200-yard freestyle at 2 minutes, 3.61 seconds.
Junior Hailey Sieren earned a pair of individual runner-up finishes. Sieren took second in the 50 free with a 27.36, as well as in the 100 butterfly with a 1:10.64. Other individual second-place finishes from Oregon included junior Noelle Marsh (100 free, 57.7) and senior Brooke White (500 free, 5:57.60).
In the first event of the dual, Sieren, Marsh and White teamed up with senior Lily Gebauer to take second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:04.85. In the 200 free relay, Dunn, Sieren, Marsh and junior Jane Ciambrone earned runner-up honors with a 1:47.94. Baraboo won the event with a 1:47.39.
In the final event of the night, Dunn, Ciambrone and White teamed up with freshman Kailey Kochan in the 400 free relay to take second with a 4:12.17.
The Panthers finished sixth five times at the invitational.
Middleton finished first with 422 points, followed by Madison West’s runner-up score of 378. Oregon collected 226 points to take seventh.
The Panthers’ fastest relay time came in the 4x25 freestyle relay. Lily Gebauer, Cora Tesch, Erin Pierick and Ciambrone teamed up for a time of 55.90 to take seventh place.
