Fitchburg police have arrested and charged Kania C. Quinn, 33, with first-degree intentional homicide for the stabbing death of a 62-year-old man early Saturday morning, the Wisconsin State Journal reported on Tuesday, Oct. 5. According to jail records, Quinn was booked into jail Monday night.
According to a Fitchburg Police Department news release, officers from the Fitchburg and Town of Madison Police Departments responded around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, to a report of a man down in the 2000 block of Greenway Cross. The man, found bleeding from stab wounds and unresponsive, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
After speaking with witnesses, investigators believe the incident started in the victim’s apartment, and it is believed the suspect and victim knew one another, according to the news release.
